This automation is extremely helpful for making the Technical Project Manager position less tedious and time-consuming. It triggers whenever an issue is created in the selected repository. This tutorial will help you create this automation for any repo in any organization for any sheet in SmartSheet.

For these scripts to work properly you will need to set up secrets and variables inside of the GitHub repository you would like for this automation to be used for.
Note: You will need admin permissions attached to your GitHub account to see some of the following pages.
Before you create the secrets you will need to find the appropriate tokens for GitHub and Smartsheet. These will be your secrets.
Click on the user icon found on the bottom left corner when you are inside of your Smartsheet account. From this menu click Personal Settings…:
Once the settings pop-up click API Access on the left side menu. Then click Generate new access token:
Enter a name on the next screen for the token:
